USEF announces new search for candidates Presidency
The U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) is now accepting nominations for president. The Nominating Committee will accept nominations Feb. 15-March 31, 2016.

To be eligible for nomination as USEF president, the individual must have served on the Board of Directors within the last six years, “as well as demonstrate an understanding of the critical importance of the USEF's role in international sport and have an appreciation of the dynamics and diversity of the sport nationally,” according to an email from the USEF.

The USEF president serves as the chairman of and presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors, and oversees the reporting system and checks and balances from the councils which ensures that the Board of Directors-approved plans are followed and implemented. They will also guide the strategic growth and direction of the USEF as approved by the Board of Directors, and preside over the volunteer leadership structure to provide inspiration and encouragement to all those who serve and contribute their time and talents.

Nominations may be submitted online by active USEF members. Visit USEF.org for more information and to submit a nomination.

The Nominating Committee will submit its nomination for President to the Board of Directors no later than May 20, 2016. The Board of Directors will elect a new President whose term will begin in January 2017 and end in January 2021.
