Earlier this week the IOC announced that the Olympics will be postponed to 'latest July next year'. When exactly, is not clear yet. Because of that, a new problem rises: the European Championships are plannend to take place in August 2021.
Isabell Werth, one of the best dressage riders in the world, remains calm: "This could result in a problem. If riders will have to choose between the Olympics of the Europeans both events will not have the best teams and the best riders; This of course would be a pitty because you can not show the highest level of our sport".
But, as Werth says, nog reason to panic. As long as the Olympics have no new date, we presume the Europeans can take place as planned.
