Tomorrow the all deciding Free Style is scheduled, but today 18 combinations entered the show ground for the Grand Prix. The person to beat is Isabell Werth. This German rider can win the World Cup for the third year in a row here in Gothenburg. She took her 14-year old top mare Weihegold OLD (f. Blue Hors Don Schufro) so she clearly won't go down without a fight.
Her most important opponent is Laura Graves. This American lady rider ended on second place last year. She took Verdades (f. Florett As) to Gothenburg so she clearly is determined to make it Werth as difficult as possible. Haar eerste concurrentie is Laura Graves. An outsider for the victory is Daniel Bachmann. He got some very good results lately and he clearly is more than willing to show the publich of Gothenburg what he's worth.
Eventually Werth did what was expected: she and Weihegold OLD (f. Blue Hors Don Schurfo) got an overall score of 81,755%, leaving her competition far behind. The second place went to Laura Graves. The American lady rider got a score of 80,109% but she and Verdades (f. Florett As) had to take peace with the second place.
Third place was for Daniel Bachmann Andersen. He and Blue Horse Zack (f. Rousseau) rode a nice Grand Prix and finished with an overall total of 78,152%. Kasey Perry-Glass and the 16-year old Goerklintgaards Dublet (f. Diamond hit) ended on fourth place. Helen Langehanenberg and Damsey FRH (f. Dressage Royale) ended fifth.
