Werth: "It wasn't completely perfect"
Werth wrote history yesterday by winning her third World Cup in a row, her fifth in total. She saddles her top mare Weihegold OLD, a mare that just keeps on winning. Werth was very happy with her victory, but she still noticed a few working points: "At the end I became a little arrogant causing me to make a small mistake. This once again shows that I should keep my feet on the ground anytime. Weihe was great, she was perfect. Because of my little mistake, my Freestyle wasn't perfect however but that motivates me to do even better in the future".

This victory is extra special for Werth since she won her very first World Cup in Gothenburg as well. The German rider says that a lot has changed over the year: "The sport became much more professional. We have more 'modern' horses that have a lot more potential en quality. Riders have a better basis as well. I used to win Grand Prix' with a score of 75.000%, that would not be happening anymore right now".

Laura Graves looks back on a good weekend as well: "I made a few small mistakes but in the end I was vert happy. Verades was easy to ride this weekend, it seems like getting older is good for him, he's more at peace right now. It seems like he wants to keep doing this for a very long time and he doesn't think about his retirement at all. He gets some rest now because it was a long way up here and it will be a long way back home. After that we will evaluate what to do with him now since he is nog getting any younger".

Helen Langenhanenverg and Damsey FRH surprised the jury and the audience by only stopping just in front of the judges table after their Freestyle. Helen however, could laugh about this incident: "The public started clapping and because of that Damsey thought he had to do his Freestyle once again. Of course he knows when his Freestyle is ending, but because the audience was that enthusiastic, he probably thought 'we just do it once more' (laughs)".
