Julien Epaillard on winning the World Cup in Madrid: "It was a crazy week!"

French rider Julien Epaillard had a glorious week of competition at the Madrid Horse Week. On Sunday he won Leg 4 of 11 qualifiers in Longines FEI Jumping World Cup action. "Crazy week!" said Epaillard. "My horse jumped amazing!" Known for being a speed demon in the ring, Epaillard delivered an incredible round in the World Cup class and we would love to look back on this memorable moment!

Together with Billabong du Roumois, a 10-year-old Selle Français gelding, Epaillard beat out five other duos in a thrilling jump off, making it his third major win of the week – an unprecedented string of victories at the event.

The leaderboard is sure to change again. But for now, there are seven more legs before the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Finals will take place in Leipzig (April 6-10) in 2022. The question we all ask ourselves is if Swiss rider Steve Guerdat will be able to defend his championship titlle from 2019 in Gothenburg?
