The pair finished in 60.12 seconds. Alexander Zetterman and the 11-year-old Zidane (by Sam R) followed in a second place, after a clear round in 60.49 seconds. Riding for his own crowd, Dutch Leopold van Asten and VDL Groep W Zermie (by Celano) finished the stage.
The top five was completed by Darragh Kenny and Chin Quidam VDL. Kenny is stabled at Van Asten's stables. Pius Schwizer and Baros completed the top five.
