Belgian riders keep dominating CSI2* Mechelen
Mechelen has started his penultimate day with a CSI2* class. 47 combinations entered the show ring for this 1m45 class, ridden in two phases. The victory went to the fast rider Jeroen Appelen. Jeroen rode Grappeloup vh Reenhof (f. Larino) in 27,48 seconds to the finish line. With this time he beat another Belgian rider, Wouter Devos. Devos and Emporio van T Holeinde finished in 28,72 seconds.

Thomas van Minnebruggen and Ibbo van T Keldertje (f. Fetiche du Pas) jumped to third place. They didn't touch any fence and finished in 30,30 seconds. Frederic Vernaet and the 8-year old mare Just A Gamble (f. Toulon) ended on fourth place. They jumped a clear round in 30,34 seconds. Fabio Rodriguez and Talika Des Isles (f. Jarnac) completed the top five.

Just a moment ago, the 1m40 class of the CSI2* competition has been ridden. He rode Diadarco van Evendael Z (f. Diamant de Semilly) in 60,49 seconds to the finish line, leaving the wood untouched. With this time, he was way faster then all other competitors. The second place went to the Irish rider Ivan Dalton. He jumped a clear round with Ajacienne (f. Calvaro) under the saddle and finished in 68,08 seconds. Hendrik Denutte took account of the third place with the 11-year old BWP horse Star du Cartier (f. Cartier vd Heffinck). The 11-year old gelding didn't touch the wood and crossed the finish line in 69,82 seconds.

 

Kim Thiry (Il Gagne vd Kwade Heyde) and Sam Polleunis (Qanuk Z) completed the top five. They ended respectively on fourth and fifth place.
