Belgians claim top five in thrilling jump-off GP Flanders Horse Expo Ghent
A few minutes ago, the thrilling jump-off of the CSI2* 1,45m Grand Prix in Ghent came to an end. It was home rider Koen Vereecke who rode his nine-year-old Diadarco van Evendael Z (Diamant de Semilly) to the victory in 34,29 seconds. No other pair managed to stay under 35 seconds, even though fellow countryman Christophe Vanderhasselt came pretty close with Gino van de Vrunte (Jokinal de Bornival) in 35,02 seconds. He was rewarded with the second place.

Vicky Van de Poel, another Belgian rider, took the third place with the Faldiano-son Jay Jay van de Mottelhoeve. They went clear in 36,09 seconds, a quarter of a second faster than Rachel Steffen on Uncanto di Villagana (Canturo). Yves Awouters closed this Belgian top five with Daloa (Lupicor).
