Belgians keep on going strong in the 2-star competition of Mechelen
Tonight horses aren't only jumping on the A-arena, the B-arena has a pretty packed schedule as well. Two 2-star classes were ridden this afternoon.

Earlier today the 'Prize Poels Equestrian' was ridden. It was a 1m35 class, ridden in two phases. It this class it once again was the Belgian rider Thierry Goffinet who showed why he is one of the fastest riders of Belgium.

With the 8-year old Jack Russel DB (f. Toulon) under he saddle, he jumped a clear round in 23,75 seconds. With this time, he was way faster then his first opponent, Koen Vereecke, who ended on second place with Diadarco van Evendael Z (f. Diamant de Semilly). Vereecke jumped a clear round with the 8-year old gelding and finished in 24,85 seconds. Geoffrey Cobbaut and Uomini (f. Helios de la Cour II) took account of the third place. They jumped a clear round in 26,27 seconds.

Vincent Lambrecht (Velours de Baudry) and Virginie Thonon (Danaide du Houssoit) completed the top five. They ended respectively on fourth and fifth place.

In the 1m40 class it was Geoffrey Cobbaut who took the victory. With Id 1 (f. Diamant de Semilly) under the saddle, he jumped a clear round in 55,65 seconds. With this time he was the fastest on this class that was ridden against the clock. The second place was for Petronella Andersson. This lady rider, who is riding for the Stephex Stables, saddled the 19-year old Mouse (f. Limbus) to ride to the finish line in 56,35 seconds. Vincent Lambrecht and S&L Through the Looking Glass (f. Arkan) cleared the course in 58,04 seconds, resulting in a third place.

Koen Vereecke (Jativia) and Donaat Brondeel (Jadorade vd Bremboshoeve) completed the top five. The ended respectively on fourth and fifth place.
