Compatriot and European Silver Medal winner, Gregory Wathelet, came close but eventually returned home with a third place. Aboard the Baloubet du Rouet-offspring, Balouzino he finished in 51.01 seconds. Only Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano and his 13-year-old Cocoshynsky (by Cornet Obolensky) did better, taking home the second place. Yesterday the pair finished second in Basel.
The top five was completed by Egypt's Karin Elzoghby (Colour Girl) and Jérome Guery (Grand Cru van de Rozenberg).
