In the second Global Champions League competition, that was held tonight in Madrid, Britain's Ben Maher jumped to a stunning victory aboard his Explosion W. Together with about 60 combinations the pair proved themselves in the 1,55m-1,60m course and ended up winning in 68,73 seconds. The Chacco Blue-son beat Danielle Goldsteins Lizziemary (Cabri d'Elle) by half a second.

Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot (L'Arc de Triomphe) finished third for Spain in 69,95 seconds, followed by Belgian rider Nicola Philippaerts and H&M Harley vd Bisschop (Dulf vd Bisschop). Eric van der Vleuten and Zigali PS (BMC Kigali) finished fifth for the Netherlands.

In the team ranking, the London Knights of Nicola Philippaerts, Ben Maher and Emily Moffitt take the lead with four penalties and 139,5 seconds. The Rome Gladiators of Abdel Said, Laura Kraut and Lorenzo de Luca followed with five penalties and 150,13 seconds, the Shanghai Swans of Pedro Veniss and Daniel Deusser are in third place.
