In this Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophey, Philippaerts sent thirteen-year old Cardento-daughter Cue Channa, owned and previously ridden by Malin Baryard-Johnsson, to the first place in 34,72 seconds. Pius Schwizer followed aboard About A Dream (Clinton) in 35,07 seconds, followed by Italy with Emanuele Gaudiano and Chalou (Chacco Blue). They finished third in 35,73 seconds.
Denis Lynch claimed the fourth spot for Ireland with Chablis (Couleur Rubin), Sameh El Dahan and Suma's Zorro (Douglas) closed the top five for Egypt.
