British and French riders dominate morning classes in Vilamoura
While everyone is very excited for the Grand Prix later this afternoon, a few other classes have already been ridden on the beautiful area's of Vilamoura. In the 1,30m class, it was the Portuguese rider Duarte Seabra who speeded to victory. He rode his Zangersheide mare Axelle MZ (f. Andiamo Z) in 55,76 to the finish line. With this time he was a clear winner: he was almost two seconds faster than James Smith who ended on second place with Quattro 27 (v. Quidam's Rubin). This British combination left the wood untouched and finished in 57,48 seconds. The British Henry Turrell completed the top three with the 11-year old KWPN gelding Barbados III (v. Niagara).

Laurent Goffinet (Delphi) and Reynald Angot (Uncarat Hogue) ended respectively on fourth and fifth place.

In the 1,20m class, the victory went to Manon Jobin. She and her Picasso Sissart (f. Quickstar) left the wood untouched and finished in 26,33 seconds. Abbie Summers and Quantas (f. Quality) crossed the finish line in exactly the same time and ended on first place as well.

The third place was for Adrien Rouchon. He and his Selle Français gelding Rubbains du Tracol (f. Litsam) jumped a clear second phase in 26,68 seconds. Sammie Jo Coffin and Churchill Z took account of the fourth place with a time of 26,76 seconds. This British rider also ended on fifth place with Devils Kiss (f. Lupicor).
