CSI-YH Vilamoura: Portugese rider rules youngster classes
Next to the 3* star riders, it was also up to the young horses to enter the show ring of Vilamoura today. In the classes for young horses, the Portugese riders really wanted to show what they're worth in front of their home crowd. And so they did!

In the class for 6-year old horses, it was Duarte Seabra who took the victory. He and Nintender Star (Nintender) rode a clear second phase in 32,53 seconds. Seabra was over a second faster than Jelmer Hoekstra. This Dutch rider seems to be in great form as well: he took the second and the third place. With For President (Numero Uno) he rode a clear second phase in 33,96 seconds, reassuring him from the silver. With Fast Forward (Zidane) he came in third.

With the 7-year old horses it was Duerta Seabra again who won the class. This time he saddled Ahg Whiterock Cruise Down (Cruisings Micky Finn). He rode a clear round in 64,64 seconds. Second place was for Portugal as well. Luis Sabino Goncalves cleared the course in 65,75 seconds. This way he took the second spot with Twix V Overis Z (Toulon). Third place was for Michel Hecart and Vendetta de la Roque.

The only youngster class that didn't have a Portugese winner was the class for 5-year old horses. In this class it was Lisa Cubitt who took the victory with Oaks Clovelly. They rode a very fast clear round in 62,06 seconds. With this time, they were almost three seconds faster than Pascal Levy and La Roshel (Toulon). This combination ended on second spot. The Portugese rider Duarte Saebra (Klasall) completed the podium.
