The Husky Energy Classic (1.50m) had 62 horse/rider combinations take on the track laid out by FEI Course Designer, Olympic medalist and former Spruce Meadows Champion, Michel Vaillancourt (CAN). The horses took well to the new layout at Meadows on the Green. Eighteen jumped clear to make it into the jump off.
With 18 horses in the jump off riders not only had to complete their jump off ride with no faults, but had to be very fast. Daniel Coyle (IRL) and Cita stepped into the ring first to do just that. The pair sailed over the finish line setting the pace with a time of 36.76s that could not be beat.
