French dominate the first World Cup of the  West European League
The first world cup competition of this new season coloured French. Germany's Marcus Ehning and the impressive 10-years-old stallion Comme Il Faut (by Cornet Obolensky) perverted a complete French top five. The pair finished their jump-off faultless in 44.08 seconds, good for a fourth place.

Pénélope Leprevost and Flora de Mariposa (by For Pleasure) stopped the clock in 43.01 seconds, claiming this season's first World Cup points. Compatriots Simon Delestre (Qlassic Bois Margot) and Patrice Delaveau (Lacrimoso 3 HDC) followed in second and third place.

The jumps were set at a height of 1.60m. From the 39 starters no less than 15 combinations qualified for the second phase.

The top five in Oslo, Norway, was completed by Kevin Staut and the 14-year-old Reveur de Hurtebise H D C (by KAshmir van Schuttershof). Maikel Van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Arera C finished sixth.

With her win Leprevost returns home with 20 points in the world cup ranking. Simon Delestre is second with 17, while compatriot Patrice Delaveau third with 15 points.
