Julien Epaillard tops the DKB-Riders Tour Grand Prix
It was a supreme win from France's Julien Epaillard in Saturday's qualifier for Sunday's DKB-Riders Tour Grand Prix in Paderborn. Aboard Quatrin de la Roque (Quick Star x Kannan), Epaillard flew around the 1.50 jump-off track in the Championat von Paderborn to take the win with more than three seconds down to runner-up Douglas Lindelöw on Udermus (Odermus x Jackson) representing Sweden.

A home rider ended third; Eva Bitter on Perigueux (Perpignon x Stakkato), while fourth went to Netherland's Gerco Schröder on Glock's Zaranza (Karandasj x Heartbreaker) and fifth to Germany's Markus Renzel on Cato (Chequille x Ratsherr). Six riders in total were clear in the jump-off that counted twelve riders.

"This is my third show with Quatrin and I have not ridden him as fast as this before. It is a great pleasure to have a horse like this," said Epaillard after his win on the 11-year-old-gelding that previously was ridden by Michel Hecart.

Meanwhile Janne-Friederike Meyer has made her lead in the DKB-Riders Tour even more comfortable, after adding another ten points in Paderborn today. With 51 points, the German rider has 17 down to rank two which is Christian Ahlmann. Ludger Beerbaum follows as rank three on 29 points, while Christian Glienewinkel has 20 points as rank four as does David Will, Julien Epaillard and Kamal Bahamdan.
