Jur Vrieling wins worldcup qualifier in Helsinki
The second leg of the Western European Worldcup season concluded with a Dutch victory in Helsinki. Only nine combinations managed to qualify for the jump-off in this 1.60m class.

Belgium's Francois Mathy Jr. was the first to enter with the 9-year-old Numero Uno-son, Uno de la Roque. The pair jumped two rails down in 42.71 seconds and eventually placed eight. Robert Whitaker was the first to jump a clear jump-off round with the 14-year-old Catwalk IV (by Colman).

Whitaker crossed the finish in 39.27 seconds. Short after Henrik von Eckermann beat his timeaboard the 11-year-old Mary Lou 194 (by Montendro).

But it was the last in the arena who set the record time without touching the wood. Dutch Jur Vrieling jumped to glory with the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood horse VDL Glasgow v. Merelsnest (by Nabab de Reve). Vrieling stopped the clock in 38.60 seconds. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli followed as runner-up with the 10-year-old KWPN-mare, Celena VDL (by Mr. Blue).
