Garcia had almost two seconds down to runner-up Nadja Peter Steiner (SUI)on Capuera II (by Come On) in the second round. Third place went to France's Olivier Robert riding Quenelle du Py (by Tresor du Renom AC). Compatriot Fabrice Dumartin followed in a fourth place.

In Vilamoura it was the USA who coloured the win of the international CSI3* Grand Prix on Sunday. With a clear first round, ten riders went through to the jump-off. A total of six horse-rider combinations finished their second round faultless. Aboard the 8-year-old mare Cavalia (by Vingino), Kraut was 0.19 seconds faster than runners-up Rene Tebbel and Air Chin Z (Air Jordan Z). The USA show jumper was 1.4 seconds down to third placed Bernardo Alves and Vatson Sitte (Cardento).
