Ludger Beerbaum speeds to 1.60m victory in Doha
It was a difficult task to conquer the 1.60m main class in Doha. Only three combinations produced a double clear round, eventually it was Germany's legend, Ludger Beerbaum who speeded to victory.

1. Ludger Beerbaum - Chiara 222
2. Jur Vrieling - VDL Glasgow vh Merelsnest NOP
3. Daniel Deusser - Calisto Blue

Seven combinations qualified for the Jump-Off. First to go was Belgium's Pieter Devos with his 11-year-old Clearway-daughter, Claire Z. The pair jumped down two rails, setting the task. Daniel Deusser followed with Koen De Waele's former, Calisto Blue. Aboard the 12)year-old Chacco Blue-son, Deusser produced a clear round.

A bit later Ludger Beerbaum bested Deusser's time with over two seconds, taking victory with Madeleine Winter-Schulze's 16-year-old Chiara 222 (Contender). Dutch Jur Vrieling followed as runner-up in the saddle of the Belgian bred, VDL Glasgow vh Merelsnest NOP (Nabab de Reve).

Deusser was eventually followed by Simon Delestre with Filou Carlo Zimequest (Coronas) while Pieter Devos completed the top five.
