Marco Kutscher speeds to victory in LA Grand Prix

This afternoon the stands, tables and lounges were filled for the Longines Los Angeles Masters. Rik Hemeryck was the first one to go in and set the bar riding a clear round aboard the 13-year-old Carlitto van't Zorgvliet. In the Jump-off however the pair had less luck, knocking down a total of 3 rails.

Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani was the second rider to go in in the 1.60m jump-off. Together with his Andiamo-son First Devision the Qatari rider finished faultless making the other competitors nervous. Frensh rider Patrice Delaveau didn't top the cherry, having a little trouble along the course. With Lacrimoso 3 HDC (by Diamant de Semilly), Delaveau finished with a total of 12 points.

World number one Scott Brash and Hello M'Lady (by Indoctro) finished over 2 seconds faster as Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani. Asking him if he is never getting tired of winning the British show jumper proclaimed Kent Farrington as the one to pull him away from victory.

Farrington and Voyeur (by Toulon) however finished in 38.05 seconds, 0.15 seconds slower as the current world number one.

But it was the last one to go in who set the fastest time. Finishing in 37.04 seconds German Marco Kutscher speeded to victory aboard Van Gogh (by Numero Uno). Second place was for Scott Brash followed by Kent Farrington.

The top five was completed by Steve Guerdat and Ali Bin Khalid al Thani.
