New Olympic hopefull for Abdel Said

The new year is starting great for Egypt's Abdel Said. The showjumper kicks-off the year with three new horses.

From now on he can count on the ten year old mare Alanine de Vains (Allegreto), the eleven year gelding Freestyle (Caretino) and the eleven year gelding Curious George (Codex One).

With Alanine de Vains the rider has found a new Olympic hopefull for the upcoming Games in Tokio. The mare was ridden by Nicolas Delmotte who jumped with her to a five star Grand Prix level. Said took over the reins last november and finished the year with a fourth place in the World Cup competition of Al Ain. They also performed in Kronenberg and Opglabbeek.

He further invested in Freestyle, who competed with Italy's Carlo Rogiani. With Rogiani in the saddle this Freestyle jumped to a 1m50 level. Said has also added Laura Kraut's former Curious George. With Kraut the combination jumped to a second place in the Grand Prix of Liege last november. The aim is to campaign and sell the horse in the future.
