He stayed ahead of the German riders who followed in both second and third place. In second place it was Daniel Deusser and his Cornet d'Amour (by Cornet Obolensky) with whom he finished in 52.69 seconds. In third place it was then Philipp Weishaupt with his Solitaer (by Salito) in 53.04 seconds.
Completing the top five we found in fourth place Jur Vrieling aboard the ten year old stallion Dallas VDL (by Douglas), followed by a fifth place for Maikel van der Vleuten keeping the Dutch riders in the race with his Arera C.
