In Austria in Linz the four star Nations Cup competition for the senior riders was won by the team from Belgium. The team from chef d'equipe Peter Weinberg constisted of Gilles Dunon and his Fou de Toi vd Keihoeve (by Toulon), Yves Vanderhasselt with Jeunesse (by Eldorado van de Zeshoek), Frederic Vernaet with Just a Gamble (by Toulon) and Wilm Vermeir with DM Jacqmotte (also Toulon). The team was unbeatable taking only 4 penalties in total.
In second place it was the team from Denmark who didnt even come close to the 4 penalties of Belgium. They had to indulce 17 penalties, while Great Britain finished in third place following 18 penalties. They shared this third place with Italy who also finished with 18 penalties. Germany finished in fith place taking 26 faults.
