Wilm Vermeir did not miss his start in Aachen. Vermeir rode to victory in Aachen together with Linguini de la Pomme (Marius Claudius). The 11-year-old mare was previously ridden by Marthe Heudens.
The pair was less than a second faster than Brazilian Yuri Mansur ridden by Away Semilly (Diamant de Semilly). The podium was completed by Philippe Rüping and Miss Chacco PS (Chacco-Blue).
The German pair referred compatriot Patrick Stühlmeyer with Accoton PS (A Pikachu de Muze) to fourth place in front of their own audience. The top five was completed by Rodrigo Pessoa ridden by Major Tom (Vagabond de la Pomme).
As one of the last starters, Harrie Smolders guided his Uricas vd Kattevennen (Uriko) clear to sixth place.
