Jérôme Guéry speeds to victory in the 5* 1m45 class of Madrid

At the Longines Global Champions Tour of Madrid, a number of side competitions at 5* level are being held today. Just now we were able to enjoy a 1m45 class against the clock. In this class fifteen participants were able to stay clear and so the competition was fierce. In the end the victory was for Belgium thanks to Jérôme Guéry.

Guéry saddled the 12 year old SBS-stallion Eras Ste Hermelle (v. Vargas de Ste Hermelle) for this class. Together they were fast and clear, resulting in a time of  63,18 seconds. Nobody was able to improve that time, and so they won the class. They were still being pursued by Tobias Meyer and Quintus-H (v. Frh Quaid) though. Eventually they had to settle for the second place in 63,25 seconds.

Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli and Nintender Star (v. Nintender) took home the third place. In fourth place we saw Yuri Mansur in the saddle of the BWP-stallion Humberto ASK (v. Cornet Obolensky). The top five was completed by Mark McAuly and Grs Lady Amaro (v. Amaretto Darco).
