Brooke Gunther: The LGCT Chantilly Experience of a USA girl ...
After Madrid the Longines Global Champions Tour has arrived in the backyard of one of France's most beautiful castles, located in Chantilly. USA's jumper Brooke Gunther is one of the CSI* competitors sharing her LGCT Chantilly experience with us.

Day 1 in Chantilly, France has been amazing, this is my first time competing aboard and I could not be more thankful to be able to show here.

The grounds where the horses stay are great, and the whole set up is very horse friendly...of course the Chateau so close and the backdrop of the show is exquisite!
On day 1 I got my mare out as much as possible, I gave her a good flat this morning, to get her energy and nerves settled before we show on Friday. I try to always walk my horses around under tack and by hand so they can see the entire show. I feel it helps them become more acclimated to their surroundings better.

I will be competing in the 1.25 1* this week. I had to jog at 3:30, then was done for the day! I look forward to what Friday brings, my goal is to go around clean and be competitive, I trust her a lot and we connect as a team. She showed the week prior in LGCT Mardid, so she should be ready to go this week then have the following week back home and rest up! :)
