John Whitaker announced best rider in Basil
He just missed out on the Grand Prix win finishing second behind Belgian rider Niels Bruynseels. But overall it was Brit John Whitaker who was the most constant rider at the CSI5* competition in Basel.

Up till the last class it was Swiss rider Pius Schwizer who had collected the most points during his home competition. Had it not been for him and PSG Future retiring on course during the Grand Prix the Swiss rider would have most likely collected the Prix du Vainqueur in front of his home crowd.

Instead it is Whitaker rose to the occasion. By taking a good amount of points for his second place in the final Longines Grand Prix the British rider claimed the "Best rider of the Event" prize.
