Loss of fifth horse reported following Grand National festival at Aintree
Earlier last week already four horses died during the three-day Grand National meeting at aintree Racecourse in England. Now a fourth death has been reported. The death of Kings Palace has been reported by the British animal advocacy group Animal Aid, and news of the loss has been carried on the Huffington Post website in the United Kingdom.

On his social media also regular jockey Tom Scudamore tweeted the loss.  “Very sad to have lost my old friend Kings Palace. A great favourite.”

The circumstances behind the loss of Kings Palace have yet to be revealed. Animal Aid described Kings Palace as the fifth victim of the three-day racing festival. It said the eight-year-old horse was euthanized.
Since 2000 a total of 47 horses have died at the festival.
