Steve Guerdat's Albführen's Paille retired

Former Olympic Champion, Steve Guerdat's ride, Albführen's Paille will be retired and focus on the breeding sport. The 13-year-old Selle Français daughter of Kannan, competed the last time with Guerdat at the international three-star event in Kiel, Germany, about one year ago.

After the chestnut mare got injured, both Guerdat and the owner have decided to retire the mare in Dettighofen. In 2015 Steve Guerdat won the world cup finals in Las Vegas aboard Albführen's Paille. In two years time the mare jumped together over 233,000 Euro in earnings.

On his Facebook Guerdat announced the retirement. Hij thanks the owner, M. Frey for the trust. Steve Guerdat is currently training Albführen's Happiness for the same owner.
