Home win in Portugal's CSIO3* Grand Prix

At the CSIO3* in Lisbon, the sun was shining on the Grand Prix-day on Sunday.  The Audi 1.60m Grand Prix was as well a Qualifier for FEI European Championship 2017 and the  RIO Olympic Games 2016. It was Joao Chuva and the 11-year-old Vancouver-son Antonio who secured a home win after a clear jump-off in 47.71 seconds. Belgium's Dominique Joassin did his best to beat Joao's time. Aboard the 11-year-old Best of Opus Dei Z (by Balou du Rouet), Joassin stopped the clock in 50.33 seconds being the slowest double clear round, good for a second place.

Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Fidux (by Malito de Reves) set a fast time of 44.33 seconds. Unfortunatly for the pair one rail fell down, resulting in a total of four penalties and the third place. Maxime Harmegnies and Forest Gump (by Forsyth) placed fourth.

Fastest time in the jump-off was set by Portugal's Antonio Matos Almeida and teh 15-year-old Nikel de Presle (by Kannan). The pair crosse the finish in 42.36 seconds. However two rails fell down, resulting in the fifth place.  Only 11 out of the 44 starters produced a first clear round.
