Soon we will know which combination will be crowned as the FEI World Cup Champions. We are currently focusing on the horses that have been booked as favourites to take the championship title. Today we will focus on Swiss rider steve Guerdat's mount Albfuehren's Paille.

  • Name:  Albfuehren's Paille
  • Rider : Steve Guerdat
  • Breeding :  Kannan x Dollar Mulberry
  • Age : 12
  • Owner:  Hofgut Albführen
  • Percentage of clear rounds this winter71%
  • Major achievement : Winner of the World Cup in Gothenburg
Latest results: Steve Guerdat this top mare have had some brilliant results in such a short period. Last September they finished second in the Grand prix of Los Angeles after producing two fantastic clear rounds. In Oslo, a few weeks later, Paille was still on top form after her trip over the Atlantic and they took third place in the big class on Saturday. In both Verona and Helsinki Paille went clear in the first rounds of the World Cups, but unfortunately fell victim to a few poles dropping in the jump-offs. With good placings at the Gucci Paris Masters and in Geneva, including a third place in the IJRC Top Ten Final, the hard work and consistent good form allowed them to take the win in Gothenburg, the final World Cup Qualifier before the finals in Las Vegas next week. Statistics: Statistically speaking, Albfuehren's Paille's results are some of the best we've seen this season. Over the winter, Paille had a percentage of 71% of clear rounds over 1.50-1.60m courses. This bodes well for Las Vegas, a competition that goes over four days with big and difficult courses. With Paille's results this year, Las Vegas should be no problem.   Photo : Paille and Steve Guerdat - Equnews.fr
