Guy Williams wins CSI3* Grand Prix in Reims
British rider Guy Williams, who is now based in France, posted a superb CSI3* Grand Prix win with the 12 year-old bay Rouge de Ravel in Reims earlier today.

The twelve strong jump-off included a heavy presence from Great Britain with Yazmin Pinchen, Robert Smith and James Smith joining Guy to make up a third of the field.  Yazmin, who only recently returned to competitive riding since giving birth to her son earlier this year, picked up 4 penalties in jump-off in a time of 43.06 seconds to take 6th place, whilst Robert Smith with his own 12 year-old bay Bavi picked up the same penalties in a slightly slower time to take 7th.  James, on board Balibu also posted 4 penalties in the jump-off to take 9th place with his time of 44.49 seconds.

For Guy Williams, it was an incredibly fast double clear that saw him return home on zero penalties in the fast paced time of 41.79 seconds. Only one other rider managed to break the 42 second barrier, which was home rider Jerome Hurel (FRA) with Urano who finished in 41.79 seconds. However Jerome's haste saw  two fences lowered leaving the coast clear for Guy to pick up the lion share of the prize fund and a 1st place finish.
