Marc Bettinger unbeatable in British dominated Youngster Tour Vilamoura
It was German rider Marc Bettinger who was on top of his game during the 7-year old class at the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour today. But the British dominated the field in all youngster classes taking home most prizes in the 5 and 6 year old classes.

With his 7 year old Holsteiner mare Celina IX (by Constakko) Bettinger kept British Nicole Pavitt firmly in second place. The German rider clocked a clear round of 37.16 seconds in the second phase of this 1.35m two phase special. Pavitt and the AES mare Paris 16 (by Don VHP Z) crossed the finish in 38.00 seconds round. On third place it was Bettinger again. This time it was with hit KWPN bred Fileva ST (by Alicante HBC).  In 39.40 seconds the pair was quicker around the course as Emma Stoker who finished fourth for Britain with her Pembroke 3 (by Periguex)

During the 6 year old class the Brits totally took over the field by claiming six top 10 spots. Laura Renwick finished in second, just behind winner Nando de Miranda. The Brazilian rider was just a little bit faster as Renwick aboard his Zangersheide mare Zandora Z (by Zandor).  With a time of 35.24 seconds the duo was 0.7 seconds faster as Renwick and the AES bred Arkuga (by Arko III).

Jude Burgess claimed the third spot with her KWPN mare Gimona (by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve). Aboard her mare the British rider stayed ahead of Portuguse  Francisco Rocha with a clear round in 37.07 seconds.

But the Brits really showed off in this class not only taking home two of the top 3 spots. But  in addition it were Timothy Page (5th), Philip Spivey (6th), Nicole Pavitt (7th) and Sophie Fawcett (9th) who also took home some prize money.
