Marc Houtzager takes beautiful Grand Prix victory in front of home crowd
In the Dutch Ommen, the 'Grand Prix van het Vechtdal' has just been ridden. It was a 1m60 class with jump-off. Riders could collect precious points for the Longines Ranking riding this class. With 50 starters it was a busy class, but only nine of them managed to ride a clear first round. With three Dutchmen in the jump-off, it promised to be a thrilling jump-off for the home audience.

Eventually it was also one of those Dutch riders who took the class. Marc Houtzager cleared the course with Sterrehof's Calimero (f. Quidam de Revel) in 35,43 seconds. With this he was just a bit faster than Willem Greve and Carambole N.O.P. (f. San Partignano Cassini) who ended on second place. They left the wood untouched and finished in 35,76 seconds. Julia Houtzager-Kayser and Sterrehof's Cayetano Z (f. Caretano Z) completed the top three. They jumped a clear jump-off as well and finished in 37,07 seconds.

Emma Augier De Moussac and Diva (f. No Limit) ended on fourth place. Stephanie Holmen and H&M Flip's Little Sparrow (f. Cardento 933) took account of the fifth placee.
