SP Spring Series Will Feature Two National Standard Grand Prix Classes During First Three Weeks Alongside Premier AA Hunter Competition

Wellington, FL - March 18, 2018 - The 2018 Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) Spring Series will begin at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) on Wednesday, April 4, and will feature five weeks of top hunter, jumper, and equitation competition following the twelve-week Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) circuit. The final two weeks of the circuit will be hosted at Equestrian Village, the home of the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF), located at 13500 South Shore Boulevard. The ESP Spring Series will officially conclude on Sunday, May 13.


The first three weeks of the ESP Spring Series will host Premier AA hunter competition alongside USEF Level 4 jumper classes and feature two National Standard Grand Prix classes. The first three weeks will also offer a $10,000 1.40 Welcome Stake, $5,000 1.35m Stake, $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby and numerous Hunter Classics for an array of divisions.


ESP Spring I (April 4-8) will welcome the first $10,000 ProElite® 1.40m Open Stake of the series, before playing host to the $25,000 ESP Spring Grand Prix on Friday, April 6, followed by the $35,000 ProElite® Grand Prix on Sunday, April 8 in the International Ring. The $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby will take place on Friday, April 6. ESP Spring II (April 11-15) returns a second week of Premier "AA" competition and USEF Level 4 jumper opportunities, as well as a $10,000 1.40m Open Stake and a $25,000 Spring Grand Prix, followed by the $35,000 Spring Grand Prix on Sunday, April 15. The $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby will take place in the Rost Arena on Friday, April 13.

The third consecutive week of competition will host ESP Spring III (April 18-22) at the main PBIEC grounds, continuing with Premier "AA" hunter competition and USEF Level 4 jumper classes, welcoming the final $25,000 Spring Grand Prix of the series on Friday, April 20, and a $10,000 1.40m Triple Crown Nutrition Open Stake. The final $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby is set for Friday, April 20. The $40,000 Triple Crown Nutrition Grand Prix will conclude ESP III on Sunday, April 22 at 12:00 p.m.

The final two weeks of the ESP Spring Series will welcome the ESP Spring IV (May 4-6), featuring National "A" hunter competition and USEF Level 2 jumper classes. The Series will conclude with ESP Spring V (May 12-13) hosting Regional "C" hunter competition and USEF Level 2 jumper classes. Both ESP Spring IV and ESP Spring V will continue to host $10,000 1.40m Open Stakes both weeks.
