Fresh from his Top Series Grand Prix victory yesterday, Julien Epaillard (FRA) continued to reign supreme at the Knokke Hippique Summer Circuit when claiming victory in Sunday’s Top Series 1.50m World Ranking class.
This time around, Epaillard had partnered up with the 9-year-old gelding Instit de Jucaso (Cooper van de Heffinck x Darco) to take home the first prize of 8750 Euro. Fourteen of the 57 riders in the class moved on to the jump-off, where speed demon Epaillard was by far the fastest stopping the clock at 32.43 seconds. Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski (POL) and Silver Shine (Califax x Balou du Rouet) finished as runners-up with a time of 33.78 seconds, while third place went to Lisa Nooren (NED) on VDL Groep Centora de Wallyro (Dobel’s Cento x Aledo). Best of the home riders was Vincent Lambrechts (BEL), who finished 7th with a double clear round.
