Gregory Wathelet and Forlap DC reunited

Gregory Wathelet and Forlap DC reunited
Belgium's number one show jumping rider, Gregory Wathelet has bought back his former top horse Forlap DC (by Querlybet Hero). The 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood-gelding was sold to Alexander Onischenko in 2014. After a splendid season in 2014, Wathelet separated in June that year from Leon De Cock's breeding product.

Cassio Rivetti was the first to ride the horse. Later Rene Tebbel took over the reins. Last year Tebbel and Forlap jumped to a fifth place in the 1.60m Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Doha. This summer Onischenko was forced to sell most of his horses after a corruption scandel. Paul Schockemöhle bought the majority of Onischenko's horses, the ultimate chance for Wathelet.

Recently the brown horse was competed by Laura Klaphake on an international 3* level, withou success. Forlap is now back in the stable with Gregory for about one week. The pair will debute again at the CHI in Geneva.
