The second most expensive horse in the auction at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta was the strong moving Fürstenspiegel by Fürstenball OLD - Stedinger - Figaro. This stallion, bred by Torsten Cording from Ganderkesee, Germany, and exhibited by Emese Vagi from Hungary, was sold to a dressage stable in Bavaria for 125,000 Euro.
The hammer fell at 100,000 Euro for the Champion Stallion of the Oldenburg Saddle Licensing Texas Tokio by Tomahawk - Zack - Michellino. The noble Champion Stallion bred by Lena and Rasmus Dalsgaard, Denmark, and exhibited by Jamie Welling, USA, was sold to a world class dressage stable in Great Britain. Also the WC finalist from 2016 Salobre TR OLD by Self made - Weltmeyer - Hill Hawk xx, bred by Hubert Ratermann, Alfhausen, Germany, and exhibited by Yeduada Acosta Ponce, Spain, was sold for 100,000 Euro to a regular customer from Hamburg.
For a top price of 91,000 Euro the jumper star Lady Pezine by Lord Pezi - Couleur-Rubin - Quasi Roi was sold as most expensive jumping horse to Sweden. The charming highflyer is bred by Diedrich Fick, Buxtehude, Germany, and was exhibited by Diedrich & Ute Fick GbR, Buxtehude, Germany.
Oldenburg is not only international in the pedigrees of the horses, but also the breeders, exhibitors and buyers are from all over the world. Foreign customers showed great interest in quality horses from Oldenburg. Almost half of the collection was sold to international Oldenburg friends. Customers from Spain (5), Switzerland (4), USA (3), Great Britain (2), Italy (2), Denmark (1), Canada (1), Russia (1), Sweden (1) as well as the Czech Republic (1) will be taking home talented Oldenburgs to ride in the future.
The total sales exceeded the 2,000,000 Euro mark. The average price of horses in the riding horse collection ranged around 46,000 Euros. Licensed stallions cost around 56,000 Euros on average. This gave auctioneer Fabian Kühl a fulminant debut, which was rewarded with standing ovation of the audience.
