“Victoria has the technical skill along with the right feel for bringing along young horses through the upper levels of the sport, but equally as important, she has the work ethic in all aspects of the care of the horses,” said John Madden. “That’s important to Beezie and me. Victoria has both the talent and the right attitude.”

Victoria started in the sport as a young rider competing in the ponies, winning the USEF Pony Medal Championship in 2004. She continued in the equitation ring through her junior years. She then went on to study Business Operations Management at Boston College, graduating in 2015. Since then, she has honed her skills in the jumper ring, working for Ilan Ferder Stables and developing her own horses.

“Victoria’s philosophy matches ours and, probably most importantly, the horses like her. I have quite a bit of faith in what she will accomplish. I have no doubt we will see her representing the USA successfully on teams in the future and John and I are passionate about building the right string of horses for her to go all the way,” said Beezie Madden.
“The support from John and Beezie and their team in this next phase of my riding career is overwhelming. I have looked up to them my whole riding career and believe in their system,” said Victoria Birdsall.
Victoria will be competing Las Lajas for owner Abigail Wexner in Traverse City later this month in the CSI.
