Carlos Ribas and Trix fast as lightning in 1st Qualifier for the German Jumping Derby

The 4* competition in Hamburg kicked off today! After the 4* Opening Class was won by Tom Tarver - Prieve (NZL), it was Carlos Ribas who took home the victory of th the first Qualifier for the German Jumping Derby. With Trix (v. Asterix E Z) the Brazilian rider was the fastest out of over 50 competitors. 

The jumps were set at a height of 1.45m. 56 horses were saddled for this first Qualifier class on German grounds, that was ridden against the clock. For Carlos Ribas, it was Trix (v. Asterix E Z) who didn't care to make a fault. The pair came in at the end of the class and was exceptionally fast, stopping the clock at a whopping 72,47 seconds. No one was able to beat them, neither to come close. With over five seconds difference, the victory came to their name. The Irish Denis Lynch followed in second position and rode Rubens Ls La Silla (v. Hh Rebozo) over the finish in 77,81 seconds. His patriot, Shane Breen, completed the top three with Scarteen (v. Cardento). 

The three of them left behind quite few German riders. Marvin Jüngel took fourth place with Koradina R (v. Lancoon) and came in front of Philipp Makowei and Queo II (v. Quintender).
