At the five-star event Falsterbo Horse Show, Darragh Kenny secured the victory in Thursday's first Grand Prix Qualifier.
Only fourteen combinations held up the bars in the 1m50 course designed by Santiago Varela. The Irish had a standoff on the podium with a win for Darragh Kenny in combination with the Comme il Faut stallion Chic Chic. Cian O'Connor chased on the back of 10-year-old Eve d'Ouilly (Qlassic Bois Margot) to become second. Martin Fuchs sent the Balou du Rouet daughter Bastille into third place.
Belgium's Abdel Saïd, who won a class in Aken last week as well, jumped to fourth place aboard Arpege du RU (Apache d'Adriers). The top five was concluded by Antonia Andersson and Bella PS (Messenger).
