During this 2-phase special class, no fewer than sixteen combinations kept a clean sheet, making time the deciding factor. Roger Yves Bost, encouraged by his own audience, stopped the time at 36.84 seconds and crowned himself with Urane as the winner. Christian Ahlmann was just 15 hundredths short and sent the 7-year-old chestnut stallion Otterongo Alpha Z (Darco) to a silver medal. Belgian Wilm Vermeir achieved a bronze medal with a chrono of 37.87 seconds on the back of Linguini de La Pomme (Marius Claudius).

Just outside the top three, Turk Omer Karaevli placed fourth in the saddle of Livingstone van het Peggershof (Ogano Sitte), followed by another well-known Belgian, Gregory Wathelet. Wathelet set the fifth fastest time with Cartaro 2 (Carinue).
