Max Kühner (AUT) was the first to go in a four headed jump-off. Aboard of EIC Up Too Jacco Blue (Chacco-Blue), the Austrian set the bar by going clear with the clock set on 36,39s. Next in the field was Julien Epaillard, defending the honors of the guest country on Donatello d'Auge (Jarnac). The French pair knocked down two rails, finishing with a time of 36,44s. Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) came in third with Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot. The 19 years old gelding by L'arc de Triomphe stayed clear of the poles, stopping the clock on 38,20s.

Simon Delestre (FRA) was last to go and had Cayman Jolly Jumper (Hickstead) under his saddle and was after Kühner's time. With 37,74s on the clock, the duo had to settle for second place.
