With a time of 45,35 seconds, Pieter Devos (BEL) and fourteen-year-old Apart (Larino) just won the 1,65m-high World Cup leg Grand Prix of Stuttgart. Devos also won this class last year.

Devos and Apart had to beat 10 competitors in this thrilling jump-off. Current number one in the FEI Show Jumping ranking, Swiss rider Steve Guerdat, finished second with Venard de Cerisy (Open Up Semilly) in 45,87 seconds. The bronze went to Scott Brash with Hello Senator (Carambole) for the British in 46,05 seconds.
Pius Schwizer and Cortney Cox (Carlo) claimed the fourth place in 46,25 seconds for Switzerland. Ten-year-old Oldenburgian mare Che Fantastica (Check In) and Philipp Weishaupt (GER) took the fifth place.
Thanks to this and other good results in Stuttgart, Pieter Devos climbs to the second place in the current world cup ranking. With 20 extra points, he is now in second place with 40 points. Steve Guerdat is still in first position with now 47 points. Scott Brash is in third place with 35 points.
The Jump & Drive class earlier today went to Michael Jung with Dante RZ (Diarado) for Germany. They finished in 85,63 seconds, one and a half second faster than Pius Schwizer with Cas (Casall). Sven Schlüsselburg finished Whitney (Stalypso).
