The 10-year-old stallion, Taj Mahal (ex. Etoile van de Neerheide Z), son of Emerald van 't Ruytershof, is leaving his stable from Ireland and heads for Britain. Cian O'Connor's talent joins a young British rider.
Mid-2021, Taj Mahal joined O'Connor's team, after being trained under the Belgian Dieter Vermeiren. Vermeiren started the stallion bred by Yannick Tielen of the Regenwortelhoeve up to 3* level. The Irishman built on this and even started in some 5* classes up to 1.55m height. Their most recent victory together was last summer, during the 3* Grand Prix of Knokke Hippique.
But their time together has come to an end, the ten-year-old stallion will be under the saddle of British Young Rider, Keira Stoute.
