After bringing home the gold team medal at the European show jumping Championships in Mannheim in 2007 Ludger Beerbaum's brother took an other turn. Markus started to focus on training (young) riders and horses. In a couple of weeks Connery, who took his first international experience with Markus, will compete at the world cup finals with Luca Maria Moneta. However Markus wasn't always into horses. Passionated by soccer, Markus once stole some goods to be able to play with his friends. When the police brought the young Beerbaum home he was punished with cleaning the stables for 6 weeks in a row. That is the moment Markus Beerbaum learned to ride the horses and got the 'vibe'. You see, even a punishment can turn into something beautiful.
