Online auctions are becoming a new hype. In France top horse Armitages Boy is now big news as he will be sold through the use of a website. Soon Aymeric de Ponnat and Armitages Boy's ways will separate. Yesterday the pair finished fourth at the CSI5* Grand Prix in Dinard. In 2014 the pair took home the Nations Cup win at the La Baule competition and in 2013 they finished 11the a the European Championships in Herning, Danmark. The Selle Français-approved sire out of Armitage, will be auctioned at the end of September. Christophe Mabille, one of the owner, explains; "Together with the co-owners Gregory Mars, Guillaume Canet, Christiophe Mabille, rider Aymeric de Ponnat and other, we planned to auction Armitages Boyat the World equestrian Games, last year. As the horse got injured we waited. Now Armitages Boy has had the time to prove his worth." Aged 13-years-old, the sire made sure of some memorable moments for his French rider. According to Aymeric both the Nations Cup win in La Baule and their first CSI2* GP victory at the Gucci Masters in Paris 2012, are framed in his memory.
