The German Olympic Equestrian Committee has announced its longlist for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Five of the ten riders are first represented at the Nations Cup in Aachen. German coach Otto Becker plans these five also firmly for the highlight of the season in Brazil. “About the season-long five riders have in previous sightings emerged that if all stay healthy, to compete in Rio,” Becker said. The final form of the test will be for these candidates CHIO in Aachen (July 12 to 17).” The top five riders on the A list will compete in the FEI Nations Cup in Aachen, and if all perform well they will be confirmed for the Olympic team. However, if results are substandard, there is room for riders from the B list to move up. The final Olympic team of horses and riders for Germany will be named just after July 17th.
