In a Facebook message, long lasted friend of Olympic Steve Guerdat, Gregory Wathelet, has supported the Swiss showjumper. Earlier this week the FEI released the positive test results of Guerdat's world cup and Grand Prix -horse. In a reaction, Guerdat already stated he has no idea how this could have happened. Also the (inter)national show jumping world reacted shocked. In general Guerdat is known as a true sportsmen and horse-lover. The use of prohibited substances are thus outside the moral judgment of the Swiss rider. Now it is Gregory Wathelet who reacts; "Dear friends and fans, I would like to pass on this personal message. A message as important as my latest victory (- LGCT Chantilly GP victory). I would like to raise the attention and support for my friend, Steve Guerdat. I know Steve as a true horse-lover and sports lover. I KNOW he will never have voluntary used those prohibited substances. Therefor I like to express my support to Steve, and hope you do as well," writes Wathelet.
